About Justice Bakes

Justice Bakes is a new venture to fundraise for reproductive rights organizations. We are a network of home bakers organizing monthly or quarterly bake sales at farmers' markets and other events. Justice Bakes is a network of people who donate baked goods to sell AND who commit to staffing a bake sale at least once per quarter, so four times a year. The network also includes professional bakers/bakeries who donate baked goods and/or gift cards to raffle at our bake sales (with proper credit and advertising, of course).

We also seek donations of tables, chairs, and tents for our bake sales.

In addition, we'd love to partner with established nonprofit organizations to hold raffles at our bake sales! If you are part of a nonprofit organization and would like to partner, please contact volunteer@justicebakes.org.

We would love to eventually expand to have bake sales happening at multiple farmers' markets. At that point, we may consider establishing a formal nonprofit.

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how important it is right now to help organizations that are helping women access abortion and other reproductive health services. Many states have already banned or cut off access to services, and states that do provide them, such as California, are seeing an influx of women needing help coming from other states. Resources are scarce, and our goal is to help in some small way by doing what we do best: baking. We also want to bring some joy in this moment, and what better way than mobilizing bakers and raising funds through delicious treats!
